Within a professional team creating fully integrated designs, the the Civil Designer is responsible for providing a comprehensive civil engineering survey, design and drafting service needed to deliver Central Coast Council’s Roads, Transport, Drainage and Waste Department’s Four Year Delivery Program and Annual Operational Plan. This role will manage concept design and detailed design processes for roads and stormwater drainage projects, water main and sewer infrastructure relocation designs and prepare design plans and drawings for civil construction works.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Manage investigations into various types of road and drainage infrastructure upgrades to provide the most effective solutions;
  • Manage concept and detailed design and drafting processes for various road and drainage upgrade projects;
  • Develop three-dimensional computer models for comprehensive and cost-effective design solutions.

About You:

  • You are a qualified Civil Engineer with solid experience  in using AutoCAD and 12d Model software to produce plans and drawings;
  • You are an expert problem solver with the ability to conceptualise and visualise design proposals, then bring them to life for internal and external stakeholders;
  • You enjoy working on diverse and challenging projects;
  • You have great attention to detail;
  • Having a work/life balance is important to you.

This role provides an attractive salary package up to $98.4k per annum (inclusive of market forces payment and 3.5% Civil Liability allowance) + superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
