The Civil Program Engineer forms part of a small team of professionals responsible for the management and delivery of the annual Capital Road and Drainage Upgrade Program.  The scope of work encompasses a diverse range of projects including pre-construction activities and finalisation of designs to support cost-effective and timely delivery of upgrades for bridges, roads, drainage and pavements across the Central Coast local government area.

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Civil Engineer with experience managing a varied portfolio of works and the ability to identify and resolve technical matters as required. They will thrive in a team environment, but will also be able to work autonomously, with the drive to manage their own program of works to completion.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Work as part of a team to finalise the annual Capital Road and Drainage Upgrade Programs, including project scoping, cost estimation, project resourcing and scheduling;
  • Liaise with other asset owners and stakeholders including public utility providers and government departments to facilitate a place-making approach to project delivery;
  • Provide technical support to other council sections in relation to project delivery and resolve construction related design issues.

This role provides a salary range of between $77.7k to $93.3k per annum (inclusive of 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance) + superannuation.

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.
