The Plant Operator (Waste Operations) is responsible for the efficient operation of multiple heavy plant items to effectively support Central Coast Council’s waste management operations, while ensuring that the assigned plant is operated in a safe and courteous manner and within all prescribed legislation, regulation and Council’s policies and procedures.
Key activities of this role include:

PLEASE NOTE: The Local Government Act 1993 provides that an employee may be moved from their former position to a new position in the new organisational structure provided that the new position has 'substantially the same duties' as the former position.
In determining what constitutes 'substantially the same duties' consideration will be given to the following factors, with an alignment of at least 80% required to the new role for it to be deemed a lateral transfer opportunity.
If you were a current employee of Gosford City Council or Wyong Shire Council as at 12 May 2016 (creation date of Central Coast Council), and believe you were, at that time, performing substantially the same duties in your substantive role as this advertised role and therefore may be eligible for a current lateral transfer opportunity for this position please indicate this on your application by answering “Yes” to Question 2.
